Joe Strolz

Joe Strolz is Vice President, Microsoft Advertising, responsible for monetization of Microsoft Canada’s digital media portfolio, spanning mobile, gaming, search, social media, and performance media in addition to traditional online display and video.

With nearly 15 years in marketing, sales, and media, Joe has worked across the spectrum as client-side marketer, agency partner, and publisher/broadcaster. With roles based in most major Canadian cities, English and French Canada, and in London England, Joe has gained an appreciation for local market subtleties as they relate to national and global organizations. This broad experience has afforded Joe with a unique perspective on the business needs and challenges of contemporary marketers, and has seen him work with an impressive array of blue-chip brands including Microsoft, HP, Bell Canada, EDS, Deutsche Telekom, Motorola, and WPP.

Most recently, Joe has held senior management positions at Postmedia Network (formerly Canwest) where as Vice President Sales and Operations he oversaw monetization of all digital publishing and broadcast assets, and Bell/Sympatico where he led sales and business development.

Joe holds an MBA in Strategic Management (with Honors) from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Public Relations (with Honors) from Mount Saint Vincent University. He currently resides in Toronto.
