Ruth is the SVP, Strategic Resources & New Business Development if ZenithOptimedia.
Ruth studied Art History at Queen’s University prior to entering the media business in the mid-70's. Her extensive experience includes broadcast buying, media planning and research, on both agency and client side. Ruth joined ZenithOptimedia in 2002 as director of media and consumer research, accountable for best practice application of industry and proprietary research tools to enhance media effectiveness. Over the years, Ruth has enjoyed serving on the boards and research committees of every major industry research association. Currently, she is SVP of ZenithOptimedia, adding new business development to her responsibilities earlier this year. ZenithOptimedia publishes 15 leading forecasts and guides every year, including their quarterly Ad Expenditure Forecast. Ruth is responsible for the Canadian content, and will share with you her approach to keeping a finger on the pulse of the media market.
